Welcome

My name is Caroline. I’m a photography artist based in Ireland. For the past few years I’ve been working freelance for a wide range of industries including music, mental health and fashion. I’ve created content such as cover art, promotional print work and social media updates for my clients. Those who know me would describe me as passionate, self driven and creative who loves all things media, heritage and magic.

Growing up in the wild, unspoiled nature of magical Mayo in Ireland, I have always had a love for nature, magical places and the stories they tell.

This passion led me to pursue my undergraduate degree in Heritage Studies: a interdisciplinary course in nature – linking heritage with history, geography, archaeology, tourism, genealogy, museum studies, folklore, literature, planning, computing, digital media, business and languages. It was during my studies that I discovered my love for media after a field trip to Glasnevin Cemetery where I was blown away by the interactive historical exhibitions. From then on, I knew I wanted to pursue media once I completed my undergraduate degree. Studying heritage also led me to another of my passions: travel. I love visiting new places, experiencing different cultures and discovering new wonderful sights to capture.

I graduated in 2015 with an honors degree and a keen interest in multimedia which I hoped to merge with my Heritage degree. I have systematically worked at strengthening this interest by completing a MSc in Emerging Media from DCU in 2019 where I developed an array of multimedia skills and experience such as photography, editorial and web design including prototyping and UI/UX research design.

"I began my own business as I wanted to utilize my background in Heritage and Media, a dream that has been a passion of mine for many years".

Throughout my career as a student, I worked as a tour guide. My first gig was in Westport House, a stunning Georgian build situated in the heart of Westport, Co Mayo. I wrote two dissertations on the history of the house: one based on Granuaile (Grace O’Malley: Pirate Queen of Connaught whose castle remains are now the dungeons of the house). The second paper was based on the women of the Browne family who resided in the house for over 300 years. I picked these subjects because I wanted to know everything about the connection between Grace O’Malley and Westport. I also wanted to research the role women played in the history of the Browne family and their relevance to Westport House.

I’ve worked as a tour guide for DCU while I undertook my masters. I got the opportunity to travel around Ireland’s top tourist attractions such as The Cliffs of Moher, Belfast, Kilkenny Castle and the Guinness Storehouse and meet loads of fantastic new people (and got paid for it). Without a doubt, it was one of my favourite jobs.

I began my business in 2021 despite having worked as a freelancer since 2018. I have always wanted to start my own business by merging both my disciplines to create something bespoke and extraordinary. Photography art has become a passion of mine and I love being able to share it with others. I feel blessed to do what I do for a living and to be a part of some amazing projects. I’m very committed to my clients and I value my professional approach with them: I like to think that it is through my dedication, listening and high standard of work that many of them give me consistently good feedback, continue to work with me and refer me to new clients. It is my mission to bring your vision to life and exceed your projects expectations.

My Doggos

Aside from client work and building my business, you can usually find me spending time with family and friends, walking my three favourite doggos Archie, Poppy and Brandy, listening to music (and most likely singing and dancing along), travelling and exploring new places or working on my own projects and improving my skills. I also adore roaming around the place with my camera, looking for new angles or interesting and magical frames to capture. If you have a project in mind that you’d like to me to work on, or if you’d just like to connect, feel free to get in touch. Every person is a new door to a different world.
